SUARA is a collaborative project between the Chief Minister Office (CMO) of Sarawak, Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS), and Owl and Badger Group Sdn. Bhd. (OBG). The purpose of this project is to better understand the growing importance and potential for youth participation in the discourse of development in Sarawak. This project creates an opportunity for youth to discuss and chart the direction of Sarawak through an interactive, shared experience.

Applicants must provide their thoughts on “How can we enhance the unity in Sarawak in a Post COVID-19 world?” which should be written with a minimum of 50 words.

Several physical workshop sessions will be held across Sarawak. This workshop will consist of interactive breakout sessions that will address the domains of unity and future building of Sarawak amidst the unprecedented pandemic.
This workshop will also include a virtual keynote address from the Right Honorable Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, the chief minister of Sarawak!

8 to 10 participants from the series of workshops will be able to have the opportunity to share their aspirations and hopes for the future of Sarawak with the Chief Minister.
Debate and discuss current as well as future issues with other youths.
Seek out creative solutions from Sarawak’s diverse youth communities and share their visions for Sarawak’s future.
Connect, interact, and discover a new community of youths.
Selected participants can engage the Chief Minister in their solutions for the community and Sarawak.
